Fred J. HASTING, 75, Crawfordsville died Saturday afternoon June 22, 1963 in Culver Hospital having been in failing health for 3 years.
He was the son of George W. and Nancy Dillon Hastings born May 16, 1888 at Elnora, Daviess county. He married there Dec 15, 1908 to Clara R. Yazel.
Mr. Hastings was a member of the Church of Christ, in Elnora; a farmer near Elnora and later near Waveland until retirement two years ago. Surviving are wife; a son, James; a daughter, Evelyn; a brother, Roy; a sister, Mrs. Arlie Burroughs; and grandchildren. An infant son and daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son with Rev. Eugene Ogrod officiating. His body was taken to Elnora where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday burial in Fairview Cemetery there. - kbz
